Picking you up in your jammies,
Your hair still wet.
You hug your Mumma,
Say goodbye to your pets.
A movie with popcorn,
Reading Asterix in bed.
Sending you off to sleep
With a kiss on your head.
Pancakes for breakfast,
A broken down car.
We laugh about weird stuff
And love who we are.
Minecraft and Mario,
Rock climbing indoors.
Painting water colours,
Quiet peace when we pause.
I love you my daughter,
The bright joy that you bring.
I love being your Bubba
More than anything.
It is not your fault,
But when our time runs out,
I take you back to your Mum’s
And my light just goes out.
